Hi, not really a flash question but i'm sure someone here can help. I want to find out about message boards, i'd like to be able to have one on my web site and know as much as possible about them....

I have a flash site that loads in full screen using javascript on the holding html page (I.e. no browser visible at all).

What code do I need to put into a button to minimise the screen?

I've been using flash for approx 4 years now and I would reccomend you try to get hold of demo versions of flash 4 and 5 then complete the tutorials included with them. Flash 4 was far less advanced...

I want to create something that is falling and then bounces on the ground similar to what a tennis ball would, any ideas on a convincing way to do this?

I'd probably create the shape of the pulse using a gradient that fades towards the back then move it along a guide layer. Gimmie a min and i'll try it.

There may not be an object to select, but try making a movie clip on the top timeline and then copy and paste all of the frames from the main movie in to the movie clip. Does that make sense?

Also you could try it without the music? Although I admit its a very cool tune!

Could be that the Angel-fire servers that are hosting your site are slow, if they are clogged up then that could affect your site load time.

This is the bit of code used in that website that would have done it (notice the 'menubar=0' etc). (i copied this from the site by right clicking at the bottom of the window that poped up and...

pretty sure you do it using javascript...unfortunately that is the extent of my knowledge, try one of the javascript forums

I have seen it done at a mm seminar, the scrollbar activates when the text extends beyond the visible area. You can also use it for horizontal scrolling too.

I went to Macromedia seminar yesterday (in UK) and was told that for £180 I can get a student boxed set of Flash MX, Dreamweaver, fireworks and freehand (all with manuals etc). Now if that aint...
