We have a simple image gallery written in Flex and AS3 which could use a couple of bug fixes.
Here is the gallery:...

Thanks for the info.
Although RTMP is pretty slick, I think it's too bad that Macromedia/Adobe have chosen a proprietary protocol for this feature.

Hello -
In Flash, is it possible to record and publish video from a webcam without using Flash Media Server or Red5 on the server?
Can I just publish it via http POST?
The reason is that I...

Truly, the reason I'm asking about perl/Tk is simply that I am not comfortable enough with Java or C++ to build what I would like to build.
I suppose I should just get over it and go for C++...it...

thanks for the heads up.
I'll see what I can do with an NS plugin.
Maybe another windowing toolkit with tighter integration with netscape will do the trick, rather than the Tk html browser...

Just curious if anyone knows how a person might display SWF content in a perl/Tk GUI.
Thanks
-
so...you want to.....what?
Unescape the values before they are printed back to the SWF?
Or just unescape some characters before they are sent back to the SWF?
Keep in mind that nobody can help...

Hi,
I've been doing perl for about a year and a half, and am looking to expand my skill to something more powerful.
I've toyed around with java, but wasn't too impressed, so I'm thinking C/C++....
-
yeah, perl cookbook is not really the place to learn perl...that's what Learning Perl by O'Reilly is for, as well as Programming Perl by the same publisher.
At any rate, take a look at...

yes, announcements would be good....it could keep the questions more focused...just need to really think about the titles so it sounds like the right questions people are asking themselves.

"here is how you open a popup"
"here is how you reference different frames"
"here is how...

this might be a little more information than you wanted, but...
http://stein.cshl.org/WWW/software/CGI/
it covers *just* about everything :)

you should really take a tutorial on CGI before you get started, otherwise you'll get nowhere fast.
Some resources are:

Hi,
I would love to spend more time here, but it seems that each page takes somewhere around a minute before it even starts loading...
I'm on a decent 56K connection, and other sites don't take...

I have a simple source for download at http://64.33.12.127/misc/cookies.zip
You can view the page at http://64.33.12.127/misc/cookie_set.htm
It uses some javascript I got at webmonkey that I...

it would be easier to send them an email with a link to their download...
you're on a linux box I presume?

All I can say is I am sooo glad E-Rain is going to release a new version sometime.
The timeline in Swift3D reminds me of the timeline in MAX but everything seems choppy on my machine...
-
if you use Swift-Generator you can insert PNG/JPG into SWF, but not GIF.
the Swift-Generator help forum is on this site and you can download a copy at http://www.swift-tools.com
hope this helps

oh man....
so, let me get this straight:
netscape = window.document.movie.setVariable();
...

well, I'm sorry to say, you'll also be avoiding making a guestbook :)
Fact is, while flash can read from a txt file no problem, flash cannot write directly to a txt file at all.
You may notice...
