Yes..They are called "cue points"..

Have flash convert your avi to an flv...This is where you add your cue points... You can also have your cue points fire some action script and or call that cue...

Ya know...There is a way to do this without knowing a ton of action script.
You can fake it..Create movies that are the reverse of your current movies so it only "looks" like its going in reverse......

I have a MC that loads text into a dynamic text field that has a scroll bar attached and my scroll bar doesnt "get it" when the text is brought in from the .txt .
