you could try putting a stop(); tag on the last frame of the movie you load in, then add some more frames with a fade out in them. Label the fade out section on the timeline "fadeout"

having just installed service pack 2 on my windows pc im a bit concerned that it blocks flash content from the pages i have been working on recently.
