SO whats the actual problem you are trying to overcome? (not sure I saw a specific question in there?)
post the code you have now...
what IS happening and what you WANT to happen.
"load username from mail' doesnt mean very much?
what is username? a text/input field?
what is mail?
IMHO... with the jump to AS3 being so much harder/steeper learning curve.. it was a turn off to many.
When things started to really go toward AS3... flash was on its way out.
It cant natively...
Does a ban mean all posts are deleted?
I wasnt under that impression.
I dont recall if there was a some (old) class to be used with this or not..
but you could possibly use a scripting language to parse it first? (like PHP?) then pass on the the data for you to...
If it was posted in error.. then you should have removed it.
ahh... what a golden oldie of a thread!
"G" is that you? You come to WI for a visit? ;)
just like arktix says...
just grab a date.. and use a hardcoded value (18 years) to compare the user age/date against..
example (using combo boxes as input from the user)
there is a link in my footer that explains how to load & parse xml data/file..
without seeing the 'play list' what it looks like.. or whatever.. its hard to give more direction at this point.
first... I would try to update your approach to loading images.. to using a clipLoader instance instead (link in my footer if you need it)
that being said.. I dont think you can 'check' what...
you can LOAD the coords from a .txt fiel and apply it to a moveClip..
but Flash can NOT (by itself) save data out to a .txt file.. you need some sort of 3rd party script.. PHP for example..
is this for a 'class' or something?
Im not 100% clear on what it is you even want to do?
If you put a listener on the ENTER key.. that says when pressed.. go to next frame.
That what it...
I would use XML..
keep/store the user choices after each pick:
playerChoice = "";
stationChoice = "";
you can then use this to load either by name or path the correct (xml) play list...
any KEY FRAME will have a NEW state.. make sure all buttons in all KEY FRAMES are the orientation you want them in.
A setInterval(); will run/execute every XX seconds (second parameter) until it is cancelled..
IN both your case 3 & 4 statements.. you CLEAR/STOP the interval from happening again..
all you would need to do is:
have a hard coded date (the date everyone needs to be OLDER than)
and then check the user input date to see if its over/under the hard coded date..yes?
I didnt test it or anything..
but it seems to just be called on an interval()...
just call it again.. or do a check to see if a variable has been incremented 3 times before clearing the interval
yep.. there isnt alot of demand for it..
with mobile being all the rage.. and Apple hating Flash.. its a huge hit as well..
(but also a quick search here would have yielded you an answer...
"You say tomato, and I say tomato" :)
it was due to a couple things in the end..
mis-matched count in the records/values...
and a typo in the database column name.. (had a space before it somehow?)
anyways.. once the syntax was...
actually breaking up the ' $allRecords var.. so I broke up the string, where the variable was... got me actual data output....
I left values blank right there.. for a reason (for...
having some trouble with my script...
everything 'seems' to be working fine (when I print out vars/data, it all is correct).. until I get to the part where I need to INSERT these...
who left? :)
(besides this our special little bond between "G" and myself) haha
I keep telling him he doesnt want to live here... but he posts all these articles/links to prove how...
in WI we are always trying to look out for each other..
so it makes sens that he left some 100's for the next guy.. ;)
var nameArray:Array = new Array("name 1", "name 2", "name 3", "name 4", "name 5");
var ranNum = random(nameArray.length);
var randomName = nameArray[ranNum];
