Make sure you use the correct point size (or a multiple) specified.

The fonts can only be placed on whole pixels. i.e., x=2, y=2. not x=2.3, y=2.5

no special programs required. Its just simple perspective. grab yourself a piece of paper and a pencil and look at each individual line.
