At first glance, there are some issues, but since this is your first HTML site, you're wayyy ahead of how good my first HTML site was.
Personally, I'd change the font of the HTML text. times new...

it's tough, very tough sometimes.
When you import a file into flash, and the gradient is wrong, have you tried continually double clicking the gradient (so you cycle through the groups?).

Checkout the portfolio section in our flash site and you will see the exact same effect, just in black&gray.
Instead of using flash buttons, just movie clips.
Have one frame label called "up"...

Do you mean the button that says "very easy" ?
-
I've been away from using flash for a while so i'm a bit rusty.
it's something like this:
On your main timeline, make a frame labeled "test". Put something in the frame that is very visible.
...

Unfortunately its not that simple -- you will have to use "tell target" to go back to the main timeline, then goto a frame which redirects to the appropriate scene.
there's a couple ways to do it...

Correct, but if there are programs out there that can read the actionscript from an SWF, extract the pictures and sound files (like SWF Browser), I'm sure there's a way, somehow, to atleast read some...

You never know. Google and Adobe worked together and got PDF's to work great via their search engine.........
-
So what's next then? Flash MX 2? Flash MZ? Flash 7?
-
Flash FM? You mean Flash MX?
Flash 6 was just a temporary name, they eventually called it Flash MX.
There is only one release here, flash MX. Read about whats new regarding this program here...

Heheh, no problem. I've been using this sound file since my first website (macromedia site of the day) back in late 2000 or early 2001, i dont remember
its a flashkit.com file anyways, so its not...

On one of the links somewhere in this board, someone explained that MX projector files can connect to websites to check if products are available, and other database related stuff.

If you publish as a flash 5 .swf file, it'll be fine -- ASSUMING you are using tools available to flash 5 and below.
Same as flash 5 and flash 4. You cant make a flash 5 .swf work on flash 4...

I happen to agree with you. Look what this product can do, it's fabulous, and its WAYY cheaper than photoshop.
If you wanted to start say... a grocery store, you'd have to have alot of money...
-
thanks! I appreciate it.
It's been a while (a year) since I've hung out at flashkit.com -- I had a macromedia site of the day back in 2000, but then my site just sat there forever!
Just...
