I just downloaded v2.01 of Swish and it didn't overwrite my previous v2.0 (Build 2002.04.17). It takes a long time for v2.01 to open, and it takes a long time for it to play the movies that were...

The site was Shockmotions (by GeeBee). I guess the guy is no longer online. He had some good stuff. Spingirl was one of his free ones.

Thanks for all the links, David & Frets. Unfortunately, most of those are links that I had previously read and that I could gain little understanding from. I didn't want the permission box to show...

Thanks, Wolf. Do you know how to implement the javascript code as well?

Hi.
I've used SWISH to embed small .swf movies in various areas on my html web pages. I posted this question before, and was directed to the Coffee Lounge board where there was a lengthy...

I did a search here & also on the Swishzone forums site. But I couldn't find anything on what we have to do to make sure our movies work seamlessly with the new IE browser modifications.
How do we...

I have customized a Swish template and all file sizes for the .swf's are 77kb down to 41kb. (the template uses multiple .swf's containing sprites). The whole thing still loads too slowly to me on a...

ahinalu had a good suggestion, if it's not already in place. If it is already in place, make it more conspicuous. And put it at the top of each topic page as a "Forum Rule," in big red letters...LOL...

Hi.
This may be true for new accounts presently, I don't know. I opened a geocities account as late as maybe Jan. this year (using it only as a test site). My .swf still downloads. (I just checked...

Just wanted to say that I'm grateful for the help I've received from FlashKit.com! You're among the most helpful, friendly & knowledgeable board I frequent. "I love ya, man." :D

You can get the FLASH player free from Macromedia (in a "trial version" of FLASH, which is free). That's how I got mine.
Then follow artgeek99's instructions.

Yep, that's the issue! I didn't know that the FLASH plug-in and the FLASH player were two different things. The "test in player" didn't work until I was "enlightened" by the members on this board.

Oh, I see the real post still has footers inactivated. That's cool. It looked good for my "newbieness." :-D

Hi.
I understand the point you are making. I also understand that not everyone wants to create the creme-de-la-creme of Flash sites. It can be likened to "grafitti," in a sense. Some just want to...

Hi, Phil.
I'm a newbie, so someone may come along and correct me. :-)
Did you change the name of your .swf before you uploaded it? If so, the .html file is calling for a .swf that doesn't...

I always wondered why I never got any result when I chose the "test in player" option -- so I need a some kind of standalone Flash player, huh? I thought that's what I had been viewing Flash sites...

Is anyone using Triple W Communications' Mix-FX or Anim-FX .swf files in Swish? I downloaded trial versions of the two software applications. I tried using "load movie" for a Mix-FX .swf file that I...

Hi!
I've seen a lot of Swish sites with moving grids & lines that move around. How do you people do that? I'm a newbie.
Also, can someone tell me what a good file size is for a movie, say,...

Hi!
I tried to change the words and it didn't change anything! I changed several things and resaved the file under a different name. It still didn't work. I'm still lost. Can anyone help? Thx.

Both sites work fine for me in Netscape Nav. 4.5.
Did you find what version you have at work? I've found that version 4.0 is bad news when it comes to flash files.

Hi.
I spent a lot of time looking through the scripts. Most of it was "undecipherable" to me, but I will keep looking for something that makes sense to me and let you know. I even went to...
