Hit 'ctrl+B' twice to break text apart! The first time will break them into individual text boxes and the second into graphics! Highlight all the 'graphics' together and then select the free...

Create the text and then break it apart into a graphic...you can then use the 'envelop tool' to bend the text/graphic so it appears to curve! I've used this to give text perspective before...maybe...

The simple way would be to create a movie clip add 6 key frames to to it and change the colour of it each time! I'm not very good at action script but could easily achieve in an animated sense! Lemme...
