JPG's are pretty much what your forced to work with unless youve got Fireworks (from macromedia).

when exporting the .swf file, u can select to have just the outlines of the mesh show. IMHO this feature rocks!

when your starting out 3d... there isnt much reason to go spend any money to buy a program. cause theres lots of skills u can learn on free programs that are very important when making bigger and...

if u put it like that omen... eveything in the world 'can' be free ;)

some parts are definetly done with 3d vector graphics (using one of the many 3d vector prog's ie. swift, illistrate!)

other effects could have been achieved by drawing manually in flash.

with only bryce, you can pretty much only use pre-set objects. like the clouds for example, you just get a big flat square, which wyould have a transparent cloud texture on it, and you cant do much...
