theres no real good spot on your computer to put sound files..you can put them anywhere doesnt matter mate..
Put them in a folder named sound or idiot..If thats what your askin of course..

not too sure mate but i think that as its only testing the movie it exports everything at a poorer or default quality then what you have set it to export it as.
So therefore the file size is smaller...

ok..Umm..IS it that hard really??

another way is make the height and width of the movie you want to load the same as the mian movie.
Then just place the movie in the screen where you want it to pop up on the base movie..

Is the sound a start or event kind of sound??
Try event..Start sounds stop playing once another is played..
Or is it the otherway round..The second doesnt play unitl the first is finished..lol

Make a movieclip..
In it make 2 blank keyframe 5 frames from each other..
Label the first one play the second stop..Put the sound in the frist blank keyframe and nothing in the other..And put stop...

You tell flash to target movieclips..
YOu give movieclips instance names..
And with actions like
on (release) {
if (Number(playing) == 0) {
stopAllSounds ();
tellTarget...

Are you loading the swf into the same level as the swf with the sound playing..
If you are then that will unloaD the sound swf and load the other swf causing the swf to stop playing any sounds..
