my mistake , i guess i forgot to mention my previous post that i did try using
on (press) {
_root.gotoAndPlay(face);
}
and the button still doesnt link to main time line where it needs to go

yes that is what i was wanting to do there on linking the remote to specific frames of the main timeline?
i tried using the frame label but that still doesnt work and i am thinking somehow its not...
