[F8] MCs within MCs - how to synchronise MCs?

    Hi

I have an animation with several Movie Clips, and each of these MClips have several MClips within them.

The only trouble is when you are moving (editing) a MClip and are still within that MClip layer, you can't see any of the other separate MClips move (they are grey and motionless), so how do you synchronise one MC with another?
Even the guides you have set up on one MC disappear when you are within another

    e.g.
MC_Square (containing MC layers for motion and rotation)
MC_Star (containing MC layers for motion and rotation)

They are both in another MC (MC_Both) so I can move them togther.
But then if I'm editing the motion of MC_Square WITHIN the MC_Square_Motion movieclip I can't see MC_Star moving to make them interact with one another. How would I do this?

Any tips would be grately appreciated

    M

i think youll just have to either put them both together into one mc with different layers or just use trial and error.

    OK, thanks.
I may have to do that.

Except, how do I add to another object to an existing movieclip?

    Thanks

go into the star mc and highlight all the frames and right click and select copy
then go into the other mc and insert a new layer and past the frames onto the new layer.
