    The combination of flash 8 export and actionscript makes it possible to use an alpha mask. That way you can make part of movieclips transparent.
    It also can be done with the flash 8 alpha / layer blendmodes.

    stoke srry didnt mean saying it wouldnt work but it can be done in just koolmoves you dont need to import form a different program.
