Setting the number of frames in an animation

I hope this is not a STUPID question, but whenever I apply some type of pre-defined rotating animation, I always get 40 frames, is there a way to reduce that so i can have smaller files?

Hi
It drags the last one frame (40°) with the mouse in the place that you want, the animation becomes faster but it demands little space.
