is there a way to exclude layers when I make a .swf movie?

I mean that I've got layers in the .fla which I want to show in one version of the .swf but not in another.

sup...hmm, i dont think there is, but please correct me if im wrong here....why dont u just make the same fla again and take out the layers u dont need...
u can on the main timeline highlight everything on the timeline open up a new file, and paste the frames in there...this will take all the files with it....hope that made sense
