flash file opening...

hi there,

i was wondering how exactly flash interprets the swf files on loading. Flash files can be played while loading, but is it then important for the browser to know how big the file is before it starts to pay ( something like when downloading when you can see how long the download will be) Or does the play begin to play the swf before it knows this?

further more I was wondering how exactly flash compresses the fla files. SO are there documents on the file build-up and compression userd in flash..

If anyone knows something please let me know!!
