Export to gif

Is it possible to export a flash movie to an aminated gif file ? If yes how ? I would like to create banners with flash and export the aminated banner to a gif file.

go to publish settings.
check the gif image box in the formats tab.
click the gif tab.
select animated.
pick your other options, publish and you're done!

please tell me how to make the gif made in flash of smaller size.

Remove unused colors, use transparency, interlace gif's,
split the image (if possible) into animated and non animated images (animate only what is necessary), keep low nº of frames...
