Thread: dynamic button-links from DB??

    Hi there,

    can anybody help me finding a way to generate dynamic button-links (as flash4-swf)?

    We have a project running where all possibilities of flash(4) should be used but there are no capabilities planned to do the things after the launch

    Ithink you all had similar experiences on job-management - so please help me somebody, if you can!

    Lightbulb just maybe!

    I don't have much experience with DBs. But what I think you could do is have a php script for instance write a different value into a txt file every once in a while and just have the swf read the variables from there!

    It's just an idea...

    hm

    just mentioning the word variables gives the programmer real headache (and its not because he is lazy or not good enough) - its because its a huge DB thing with a lot of functionality despite technical restrictions. He told me he could (maybe) handle one or two variables...

    is there a possibility to import textfiles and call them on the use of variables within flash so that the text can be used as a button-link/URL?
