awful lot of posts from the originator.

wouldn't be trying to notch up his replies count, eh?

it's working. 500 plus views, very clever.

Like... no! I am just trying to get a much tips as possible! I want to make my site a good site and what better way is there then to do this on a messageboard!

I have been busy with Fireworks. I have put the results online.
    http://www.angelfire.com/ne/AWRaeven (layout idea).
I do have some bugs in the menu, that i can't seem to figure out.
When I click on HOME, the entire menu disappears and a strange error appears. Why? I don't know. The PNG file (from Fireworks) i have also uploaded, for the ppls who are interested in that: http://www.angelfire.com/ne/AWRaeven/redo.png
When you open the source of the menu (left frame) you will see that i have put some plain HTML at the bottom with notepad. But for some reason that doesn't appear on the site itself. Why? No idea!
Also, when you open a menu, like Star Trek, then half of the menu seems to be falling of the screen. Weird but true! Does anyone know a sollution for these problems??? Thanks!!

    Banner killer

This site hasn't got a button, but I can't seem to copy the paste the part that does the trick. Can anyone help me with it?

i'm sorry man but I don't really like your site. I think it kind of lacks something......creativity maybe.

ouch. unfortunately i think he has a point. it just seems like the site is a little dated.

Thanks for the responses, i happen to kinda agree that's why I am thinking about a total renewed site in Star Trek style, anyone got some good tips/advise on how to do it?

yeah, don't start creating your layout in dreamweaver. that won't give you that 1994 webstyle. don't use that repeated background. maybe try to create a template in photoshop, like 750 x 450 or something. for inspiration, check out http://www.designiskinky.com or http://www.thetraffic.co.uk
to name a few. also invest in some good website design books. a book called 72 dpi by DGV is good, and any of the quickstart guides are a good fast and cheap learning tool.

overall the site just doesn't have a "design" appeal to it. i don't know if you are a designer, or just a fan creating a website. if you are the latter, then i guess the look probably doesn't matter.

    anyway good luck.

oh and by the way Rla777, change your damn signature so that it doesn't go to your website when you just roll over your banner
