Vir2l was the first new media site I ever saw, and they're a major inspiration to me.

Well, as long as we are not talking about flash only sites, check out endeffect.com, k10k.com, threeoh.com, and deaddreamer.com. Endeffect has the best desktops, they're amazin'. K10k.com and threeoh.com probably have the best layouts, and threeoh.com definately has amazing use of dhtml and javascript. And then there is deaddreamer. He is the photoshop GOD. Check out his gallery the hores of babalyon are amazin'. I wish I was half as good as he is! Peace,

k10k.com and threeoh.com are some of my old favorites. They are always good. vestaxboy, your right about deaddreamer being great with photoshop. I just wish his site would showcase what he does better. Its a bit too plain empty for my taste. Jacob Neilson would love it though. Some good sites though.

    once-upon-a-forest.com !
And the most beautiful thing about it? It has nothing to sell you. Art for it's own sake, that's what I'm talking about.

uh, I can see the source... on the landing page you just have to scroll down to see the source.. there's a big space in it... Then when you're inside, that text file opens when you right click, it interferes with your context menu, but if you go to 'view' in your browser, then choose source you can see the source, again you have to scroll down because there is a big empty space.....

Although Juxt Interactives was already mentioned, I think they are they best, the most orignal and they inspired me the most.
I think only few of the 2advanced types sites deserved credits for thier originalities. They have great designs don't get me wrong, but they all in the same web genre. Once you see some of them they kindda look the same.
    What's once-upon-a-forest ? I'm sorry to say that I didn't like it.
I didn't watch till the end though, are there supposed to be a climax or sth at the end or just pure visuals designs with no plot?

it's not really that amazing cuz if you use the menu instead of right-clicking you will see the source code perfectly.

    view> source
