Question about Timeline in Flash 5

Hi,

This may sound like a stupid question, but it's driving me nuts!!!

I just downloaded the trial version of Flash 5, and when I put my mouse over the timeline, I get a hand instead of an arrow - the annoying part is that I can't select a single frame in the timeline - it selects the entire layer!!! (I don't know - sometimes I can, sometimes I can't, I don't know what the deal is.) What is going on??? I never had this problem in Flash 4, and as far as I can remember, it didn't show a hand, it showed an arrow. Any help is VERY MUCH appreciated

in the preferences you can select to flash 4 timeline selection option. maybe that does it?
