i was wondering if there was any way to do 2 things...
(please not i am using swish and exporting to .swf)

1 have a .swf resisze (ie for different browser resolutions)

    2. make it stationary on the page---> what i have is a page right now with bgproperties=fixed ... so the side bar will not move etc... i was wondering if there was a way to have the swish centered on the page yet remain stationary while the text could still be scrolled up and down over top of it

please let me know if this is not clear as to what i am looking for

to answer your first question. You can resize your swf by choosing a percentage in the publish section of flash. that will make the HTML page view it as a percentage of the browser, no matter what the resolution is. I'm not really sure what you are asking for your second question. Sorry Hope this helps you out.
