well it all depends on what your going to do. I mean Max is $3500 bucks and Maya is in the low $4000 range. Bryce is like $174 bucks. I mean you get what you pay for but if your looking to do complex modeling and animation and export it out to swf then Max or Lightwave are going to be the big dogs right now and Amorphium Pro is great on a beer budget. Right now you can get it for $249 with a Wacom Tablet. Nice deal http://www.amorphiumpro.com Regards, Bill

for flash, Swift3d is the easiest. (though the before mentioned ARE better, they are harder)

Amorphium Pro is an ENTRY level 3D program. Its about the same as learning swift 3D.

I love swift 3D, I am a beta tester for them, but if he wants to do more than just swf output like mov. avi. targa. pic etc and wants to model complex charaters then Amorphium has got it all.

He was talking about Raster programs so I answerd with raster soulutions Regards, Bill

If you want to do stuff that looks like it comes out of bryce go for it. I would spend the extra and get the Amorphium Pro.

Bryce does not export to swf so if your looking for that feature you will not want bryce.

AP will give you both raster and vector output.

sorry...correct me if i'm wrong...but isn't bryce for creating landscapes?

i think 3dstudiomax is the best for modelling...took me just a day to finish with the basics..

which do u think is the better one...vecta3d or swift3d?

i haven't used either...but i'm planning on getting it...i've seen what marvel it can do

I downloaded it too they have a couple of forums over there at blender and tutorials.I'm kind of intimidated just not familiar with it yet I hate starting new programs.
http://www.blender.nl/index_community.php I think thats the link where you get started and look up support on the left bar menu.It gives you the basics on how to start.
