    what is it? i always get that error when i try to upload to my f2s site.

    A DNS entry is what you use to tell the server what databse to call entry to. Most likely your problem is on f2s's scripting part.

    if its f2s's problem then - you can't. All you can do is complain

    ...err actually, DNS stands for Domain Name System (or Service). It's the system that converts your ugl confusing IP address (234.76.987.12) to a nice neat, easy to rememner name http://www.mysite.ext.
    DSN is Data Source Name, and is used to setup a connection with an ODBC (OLE and ADO, too?) database by name instead of having to know it's exact physical location. You just assign the database a "name" under the server, then refer to that "name" in your query with no pathing specifications....
