new at this and would like some help (masking?)

I have a logo that was made in photoshop. It has some layers, and basically it has a masking effect. But it is kind of chopy. I want to recreate this in Flash so that it is much smoother. I have not done this before, and if someone is willing to help me with it I could send them the file.
