This is a very simple question for most advanced users and moderate for that matter but I can't seem to figure out a very simple problem. How can I get a jpg image to constantly remain as my background image. I have searche dthrough macromedias Flash 5 book and the answer does not seem to be there.

Hello,
Once you import the image and convert it to symbol using F8 you place it on its own layer and drag that layer to the bottom. You add frames using F5 and that's how to decide for how long that frame will exist and the objects that are part of it will appear in the movie.
