exporting to format other than swf

I have this problem when i export movies to a format other than a swf. like an animated gif or an avi or something like that. if i have movie clips running, they do not run when exported.

for example, i have a movie clip of a man walking, i then move the movie clip from one side of the screen to the other with a motion tween. if i export to a swf, i get a nice animation of a man walking accross the screen, if exported to an avi, i just get a man moving accross the screen, but without doing the walking action!!

what am i doing wrong!

hi,it sounds to me like the avi export is only reading the main timeline, check the export options and see if theres an
option for all frames or s'mthing.
if that don't work, at a guess i'd say export the swf and then inport it again into flash, this may give you the movie as frames (i mean not a tween of a movie clip, with seperate timeline), then try exporting avi again.
as i say i'm guessing, apologies if i've got it wrong.,

even if u export to swf, and look at it and it works, then import again, u get the same problem
