is there any way in flash to make your flash swf smaller?
i know of some ways to do this like using variables or something..
does making new scenes make the file size smaller?
if someone can respond to my Question thx.

No, scenes add to the size of the movie.

a lot of things come into consideration...
avoid transparency as much as possible
avoid tweening as much as possible
avoid morphing as much as possible
avoid bitmaps as much as possible ---use vectors instead
use the same symbols as often as u can
when u export try to put jpeg quality to lower...

Nope! 1024bytes=1kb (not sure if it's the same for the Macs)
