    GO BUY IT!

You people bug me so much. Go buy the product for once. These people who make the programs spend so much time and energy producing them. Show them some respect and go buy it. Give the producers of the product something back in return for their hard work. Geez! : ]

You guys are truly idiots....Flashkit does not support warez and does not like it mentioned. You better be careful as people from Erain moderate these boards.

These people have a point though. I'm lucky, I go to college and I'm provided with a lot of good software, if not tuition (though I do fork out 1000 a year for fees) Recently did 3d Studio max become available for students etc as a non comercial product? Software developers should take note. As it stands, these packages cost more than peanuts and there really is a class system operating on who can and cant learn.

if I have money I want buy but if I dont have how can I be web master??
So you consider yourself a webmaster ?? I just want to know what you tell your client who asks for this particular thing you do no have the program to create it with help me out here do you
    1. say sorry i dont have that program
    2. Do you guyz have it can u burn me a copy ?
    3. Umm know where i can get it for free ?

So you are trying to be a webmaster and get all your stuff for free. You have a lot to learn. Thats like trying to start any business and STEALING your tools there is no difference you are stealing and breaking the law are you so cheap and poor you cant afford it ? why not spend some of the time you search and look for free stuff by actually working for something and earning a little money ?

I would have to agree. Not cause I want to make friends, but just in case somebody out there wants to listen, here goes.

I think these characters trying to get software for free, then turning around and making money off the usage of that program should pull their heads out of their ass. The reason these programs cost so much is because pirates like you. Billions of dollars (multi billions, that's a huge bag of nickels) are lost a year from pirates, so the only logical thing is to up the price of the program to make up for the lost sales due to idiot pirates. Not only do pirates help boost the cost of these, but hell, how would you feel if you made something that took you a long time, and hard work, and some idiot just stole it from you and gave it away. Kind of like grand theft auto. It is illegal. To some of you I guess it doesn't matter.

Now the other side. Everyone wants to play Robin Hood. Steal from the rich and give to the poor. These software developers make huge amounts of money, why should they charge so much. It's hard, coming from no money, to get started in this gig of computing. I'm a student and don't have the cash to buy this stuff.

OK OK, I don't really think that's a good justification for being a pirate, but they all use it. I know friends who take programs just to do it, then trash them. Sort of like fishing. I respect that I guess, but the ones that keep the programs and use them, no, not happenin'.

Look, if you're a student, you can get these programs for cheap under student liscensing. Or you can continue to use the computers at school until you land a job doing it and make enought to buy it yourself. If you're poor, save your pennies, quit spending them on other things. If you live under a bridge and can't spell or speak english very well, why do you need this program. Quit stealing, your mother wouldn't like it. That's why she told you to live under a bridge.

Oh yeah, it's only $140.00 US. What is that, about 1 or 2 hours of flash development, maybe a half a days work in graphic design. It's a cheap program for what it does.

I'm done ranting and raving. If anyone supports the hardworking folks who don't steal their programs, post up your feelings.

Man some of you people need to get a grip on reality.Fro some people starting out it's almost impossible to be competitive in web design without (1) Talent (2)Web Serber (3) $2,000 - $6,000 in software. And with software companies adding BS features just to have you move up from version 1 to version 2 it costs even more to stay up to date.

Look at Macromedia.. They have a new version almost weekly. Ultradev, Frieworks, Flash, Freehand, 3D Max, Swish, Swift-3D Max, Photoshop 6.0, and various other support software for compression because we cant have a warez version of winzip can we? You'll also need audio and codec software, a graphics viewer if you dont want to go through 2,000 pictures searching for the right one. Oh and let's not forget a damed computer and DSL or T1 to shove it on the net.

I remember days that I didn't eat because I didn't have loot, now I make a base of $78,000, and it all started from learning Front Page 97 (warez). Yes I respect the producers of the software I use and yes either I, or the company I work for buys it but most people can't afford the bloated prices of some of this software.

Everyone wants to get all high and mighty when they hear warez. You guys trying to tell me you bought every stitch of software you ever used? Don't bring lies to Flashkit, if you can't help the dude just ignore him.

Couldn't have said it better myself. These companies dont make there money from the home user. They make it from companies and mantain their monopoly because their software has an established user base (warez)Dont you think these developers have the ability to crack down on warez if they really want to? They dont want to upset the balance that exists. Few commercial producers would dare use warez software, then you'd see a crack down.

I agree on the "BS features". But I would have to say, that the designers are much luckier, than other people.
Wnen you start a new business, you need to invest a certain amount of money. Thats how it is. If you are doing well from the very beginning, quickly "kill" all the initial costs, and start making "clean" profit - good for you. Most of the time it is not so. You must just stay "afloat" for a period of time, without even making a penny of a profit.
In this design business it is much easier, then in lets say car repair shop. A person, who opens a shop a) spends large amount of money for place and equipment b) needs to pay for utilities and other things c)learning how to run a business the "hard way", from his own example(risky).
A computer designer has a) a minimal initial spending on a computer(or 0 spending) b) Has a minimal running costs c) has an option to try the software, and see if he/she is up to task(a new autoshop owner doesn't have that luck).

So being a designer is not so bad, really. Not to mention profitable.
But nothing is free in this world. You got to spend money on seeds, to get ...whatever you expect to get.

Overpriced software is a different story, however. You might be making very good money from it, but it is not the reason to jack up the price. Thats why I started out with SWiSH.
    _________
    Against piracy.

In my opinion, the software manufactures should use some kind of "lease" feature.
You need to get the project done? Do you need software? No problem. Here you go. You finished the project? Good. Now we are going to charge for the software the company, that must pay you for services.
You didn't make any money for the first time. Well...you didn't spend any, either. But now you are the owner of a YOUR copy of a software. And next time you will make a profit.

I don't know man but I think Electric Rain has a good setup as far as curbing warez for their products. You can only get to the support pages through a registered package, or get the updates. That seems to be working for them.

But 9 times out of 10 a person that uses warez would not have bought the software anyway. But warez has actually helped the software industry by allowing people to learn their software pass the usual 30 days. Now a guy is asked if he can use photoshop and he can say yes I can.. he's had a warez version for 2 years. The company springs for the software and it's all good. If the guy said no he couldnt use it, that's one less copy of photoshop that didn't get sold.

But I just got upset about the guy that said he was sick of hearing about warez..he acted like he was Donald Trump or someone. People are broke man, the internet has been hyped as the way out the ghetto, people are trying to learn all they can about the net so get off his back.

And it's just as hard being a web designer in busines as any other busines because if you dont have what people want you dont have a business. you got a server filled with porno, no e-mails in the in box, and sitting at home typing in this forum lol.

    "People are broke man"
    NO!
People are lazy! They want an easy start and an easy job. Yes this is EASY. Why would anyone go sit behind a wheel of a tractor-trailer(took me 3 years of real hard work, before I could afford my own brand new rig) for 13 hours a day, and get tired, and hate your job, if you can sit in front of a PC and get tired, but LOVE your job?

All this whining "Oh, I have no money. I live in a poor country. Can I have it free?" is a pure BS. They want us to feel sorry for them. I never will feel sorry for them. I would feel sorry for a person, who dreams to be a designer, spends lots of money, practices really hard, but can not become good at it. Yes. For this person I would feel sorry.
If you don't have money to buy your tools, but really want to be a designer, you WILL find a way. LEGALLY!
    HOW? Easy!
Get some work. Any work you can do. Get your pennies. Buy a simple cheap tool to start with. Work with it. Make more pennies with it. Buy a better tool. Work with it. Make more pennies with it.....Untill you get all you need.
Long way? Sure. Is it worth it? You tell me.
If a person gets paid for a project US$1000, and lives in lets say US. What can he/she do with it? To live in a cheap place and to eat cheap food for 1 month.
The person in a poor country? To live well for 1 year?

People in reach countries have a very fast start, and normal profit, later.
People in poor countries have a very slow start, and a large profit, later.

    So who is poor here?

    Well balanced I must say.

Oh yeah. Another example I though of.
You can find a person, who does have money, and create an agreement. He/she buys you the tools you need, you start making money, and you split it, after. If you are good, I am sure someone would like to use you as a good income source. Both parties would be happy.

So instead of whining, this person should start working his @ss out. Also, he should learn 1 thing at a time. First he wants fla's for Flash 5(mmm...wouldn't be a big surprise), now he wants SWIFT 3d.
Why don't you get a copy of SWISH, for example to start with. $30 only. My first simple project gave me the money, for the other tools.

Go slow, man. Go one step at a time. Go legal. Go like many people go.

Whoa...This is a pretty heavy conversation for the Swift 3D forum!

It's an interesting topic that you see time and time again. I can tell you from my standpoint (I work for Electric Rain, makers of Swift 3D), Warez is kind of a bummer. Our paychecks depend on people buying this software.

We have an awesome group of people that truly try their hardest to make everyone that ever purchased our software happy that they did.

You know, it's funny...I don't think that even the warez supporters would support stealing 20 cars to open your own taxi business, but when it comes to software, music, videos, etc. it seems like that line gets a little fuzzy.

Anyway, just thought I would throw in my two cents. If anyone out there is using a cracked copy of Swift, don't worry, I still love you. But there is a good chance that your EPS importer doesn't work very well. Trust me, the purchased version works a lot better...ha,ha.

To all of you out there that purchased it...You are the ones that are keeping us in business and we can't thank you enough.

Sorry for creating work for you. Also, I'll write you a cheque for 2 cents.

    Ivanopulo... sounds very familiar.
Are you the guy who creates cracks for Macromedia products?
(or used to?) or is that jus ur FK name?

Btw, if it weren't for warez, macromedia would have a very marginal customer base. People need to LEARN Flash first before they earn enough $$$ to go out and purchase it... And Macromedia knows this. That's why they allow the Full Friggin version to be downloaded from their website despite the fact that everyone who downloads it has easy access to the crack (thanks to our friend Ivanopulo). Of course I don't encourage or support the use of illegal software.

    TygaStyle,
sure it is me. Ivanopulo, the world's famous cracker, comes to Flashkit, just to talk how he despites people who are asking warez.

BTW. This Ivanopulo never even touches MM products.
