    Question

    I know this may sound like a stupid question but how can I make a layer mask?

    just right click on the layer and choose mask.

    hehe hey jroger
    well.. i sent in a tutorial to flashkit, and if they put it up you can read it.. its a masking tutorial kinda.. well hope it goes up

    Asuume you want to mask a text clip where the text scrolls from bottom to top.

    Place the text clip in a layer by itself.
    Above this layer start a new layer. DRAW a shape which COVERS the text. Fill the shape with any colour you want - name the layer mask.
    Now from the layer properties for the mask layer choose MASK.

    Thats it.
