Thread: Legal Stuff

  1. #1
This is not really a flash question.
How do i come about adding the legal disclaimer to my site?
    I see sites with

1999-2001 internet.com Corp. All Rights Reserved.
    Legal Notices, Reprints, Privacy Policy

I'm trying to have the same. can anyone help?
Is it just text you copy or do you have to sign up with someone?

    Thanks

    copyright

i believe that as soon as a tangible work is produced it immediatly becomes the property of the producer.
however, proving it is a different matter.
Check the legal system in your Country.
I know a couple of songwriters and they send their songs back to themselves in a sealed envelope only to be opened in cases of dispute.

"The poor man's copyright" doesn't hold up anywhere..

    It's a myth..a legend..

Most song writers I know do this too..

I believe the answer you are looking for is, it's a html tag. Can't remember what it is, but you just put it in your code and it pops up.

A typical copyright notice reads "Copyright 19xx XYZ Inc. All Rights Reserved" where 19xx is the year of first publication and XYZ Inc. is the owner of the copyright.

Registration of a copyright is not a prerequisite to protection, but --

Registration is a prerequisite to filing copyright infringement suit in court by U.S. nationals.
