  1. #1
    hey everyone.
i've just used the standard dreamweaver flash detection script. tried to run it on a mac and it just goes to the page that says (sorry mornon you dont have flash!, go and get it etc etc.)

does anyone have a script that works on a mac?
    its pretty urgent.
    thanks for any help/

    Hi nevar,
take a look at colin moocks fpi (fLASHpLAYERiNSPECTOR).
It works for PCs as for Macs:

scripts won't work on every platform/browser. you have to use a .swf detector using the $version call. And you have to export it as F4 compatable. If you email me i'll send you a standard fla that i use for this.

    mac explorer 4.5???

Colin Moock's Flash Inspector is definitely one of the best detection scripts available on the net BUT it still fails its mission when it comes to Internet Explorer 4.5 or earlier on Apple Macintosh. So is there anybody out there that knows how to detect flash on MS IE 4.5 on MAC??? Let me know
