What is your preferred method of dealing with (or providing for) browsers that don't have the Flash plugin? There are some out there.

You don't need users who don't use Flash :-),
on a serious note, though, usually you would provide an HTML alternative that contains a "flat" presentation fo your site and may be some key information.

    Just an oppinion.

    Regards,

    Smile Browsers without the plugin

I've noticed in Dreamweaver that when the .sqf file is presented with the "OBJECT and EMBED" option I don't have ability to specify an 'alt picture'. However, when I change the setting to 'OBJECT only' (for IE) I can specify a pic. But won't this screw up Netscape users?

    no flash

i have a detector and a flash loader,
direct straight to the site if you have it,
download flash if you want to.
Apparently about 85% of comps have flash so
    its a calculated risk.
all of the code can be found on flashkit ,
sorry but i hav'nt got the exact urls.
    but there are here somewhere.

    Re: no flash

Thanks. I will take a look around for them. So you're saying that when a visitor with no plugin visits the site they are prompted to download/install the plugin?

I beleive if the visitor gets to you Flash page without having a plugin installed they are asked if they want to install it. That I think happens by default if you use Flash generated HTML code
