where do you lot go for ideas?

coz i wanna animate something.... shockanime is inspiring...

I think i would like to do a romantic/fantasy type anime - but all my ideas are just rip-offs of other ppls work - plus i would like something to fit around 5 mins at least for the first animation - after that anything goes (almost)

you would have to be an absolute genius like michelangelo or leonardo to not be ripping someone else off
i guess there probably are more now
they just don't get noticed as much
because there are so much

I think michelangelo and leonardo got there stuff off well because at the time, they didnt have to worry about so much stuff prior to then that would look like or would be a rip off, if they where to do it...

Nah, its just theres a real feel of perspective there that you dont get from sitting in front of a computer.. there's always some shadows somewhere, and you can see the tracks going off into the distance.

And the occasional adrenilin rush from a train going at 100MPH or whatever past the station..

still feeling uninspired - and when i am not at the computer i am at work - and there ain't much to inspire a gal in a smokey bookies office - they've even taken the games off the computers - bah - humbug!

oh - that channel actually looks well interesting! oh well i dont have a zipcode - i have a postcode so i cant view it - but the website is good and interesting. shame thou - their schedule looks worth watching.

I get all mine from music. Sometimes when I need to be "inspired" I just turn on some music and close my eyes. Then my imagination just takes off from there . Try listening to some "progressive" styles of music and do what I do, it'll be sure to open your mind wiiiiiiiiiiiide open.

Well Thankies to all who responded... the way i got my idea in the end was a little wierd... I had a really awful day, to cap it all i tried to help someone, but just ended up missing the bus home... so walking home listing to music and looking at scenery wishing I had my camera coz the blossom was awesome. I was struck by a particular image - and the story grew from that image - cool eh?
