Thread: NEED HELP REALLY BAD

    ok here is the problem. im using a font called silkscreen. i dont want flash to anti-alias it. so i click static text then "use device fonts" . the problem is when people without the font on their system view the animation the font doesnt show up, it shows up as times new roman. any help on this

    of course it does not show up on their computers, that's not a common font for people to have. when fonts like that are used, and viewers do not have them on their computers, times new roman is replaced as a default.

    why do you want it to not be aliased?

    I apologize if I seem a bit blunt, this has been a long, long day as I have been up since 4am due to finals today.

    well i want the font to not be anti alias because it basically looks like **** when it is. any other thoughts?

    Set your text in Illustrator, then create outlines, save as .ai file.

    Import into Flash, voila. And no more nasty font errors.

    Long winded, but should work. You can even break it apart to change colours, etc. if required.
