Help With button Actions

ok i ahve 2 problems, lets start with the most important one.

I have a Movie clip of a menu that is moveable. Since it is my menu i should be able to put buttons into it. And i do...the button moves aroud just like the menu does now. But wait... the button isnt going to the frame i told it to. In the Main scene. It seems that my button hopes to the X frame of my movie clip and not the main scene. Even though i set it to Scene 1

well i hope u understand my problem ...this is a very annoying delema. I worked so hard on ym menu...to realize that my buttons dont work please help me!

well... use:

_root.gotoAndPlay(x);

and so, on your buttons...
