    How do I detect a user's default E-Mail program? I want to send a Flash 5 .EXE Windows Projector file, and I want the user to click a button to automatically acknowledge receipt. The getURL function using "mailto: XXXXXX" automatically invokes Outlook Express.

    Some recipients don't use Outlook Express, so is there a way I can detect their E-Mail program and link to it, then open it with a prepared message?

    most e-mail programs have to follow some special rules which makes them startup the program whenever the mailto: action is sent so this should prove to be no trouble if somebody has a different e-mail program they all work..
