Book on flash and Director 8

Well, Hi there, I am a beginner to Flash 4 and Director 8. I hAVE taken it in order to follow the multimedia line.
I live in India and because of this, I am unable to buy any books like Visual quickstart as they do not have any publications. Is there any suggestions that you would can give me so that i can effectively learn flash in a effextive manner, Thank you, waiting for a reply from you
