i have a movie that MC pop up on top of the buttons...

the buttons are the design of the site and take up the whole view...

is there a way that i can give a mouse event that would disable the buttons after clicked while the MC is popped up....

and then on the MC a button that will enable th button when closed...

    thanks in advanced

    button disabling

Well, Im not quite sure how you have your buttons situated, but you could put all the buttons that you want to grey into a MC, and have 2 keyframes. Keyframe 1 you have real life active buttons that perform tasks, and a stop() action in the main timeline. When you click inside of your window, have it tell this MC to gotoAndStop(2) and have keyframe 2 be greyed out pictures of your button, so that they are unresponsive.

    Does that help at all?
