    Hey everyone, does someone knows how to create a Gaussian Blur effect in Flash ? Thanks.

    simply select your shape (raw vector not converted into a symbol yet) and go into modify/shape and choose Soften Fill Edges. That's it!

    Ok! What they did on that site is have two copies of the same image (flower) - one blurred, one untouched. They probably used Photoshop to blur the image. There's no way to do that in flash.
    Then they place the blurred image on a layer on top of the regular image. In this case they used two copies of the blurred one, with moving masks. Pretty simple huh?

    Mmmmmmmm... ya that was pretty obvious.. (damn it!) But I am pretty sure to saw a similar effect with a more complexe animation (over a slideshow with random effects). If someone find one day a solution, please let a message. Otherwise thanks a lot flipsideguy . !

    I've seen images that gets blurred over time. With this I mean that the blurring has been animated. They probably use another software for this. Something like Adobe After Effects, that allows animating with filters.
