    It's not the program..it's netscape..

    Try this.

    1) You've got space in between your TD'd..close it up a bit incase on of those is an actual space.

    2) Change your TD's to the width of the image in the cell..i.e.

    <TD COLSPAN=6>
    <IMG SRC="cut3.gif" WIDTH=600 HEIGHT=28></TD>

    Becomes..

    <TD COLSPAN=6 Width="600">
    <IMG SRC="cut3.gif" WIDTH=600 HEIGHT=28></TD>

    It leaves Netscape less to mess with.

    2 Cents..first impression..

    Thanks Coop, I'll try that. I'm sure it will work, it makes sense. Not that I support the "Microsoft Internet", but I swear sometimes I really hate Netscape.

    Oh - yeah.....

    <thread drift>
    Netscape is a complete nightmare - I'm still pulling for a Netscapeisms board on FK so all these poor people who think they did something wrong can go to the I hate Netscape board and commiserate with other Netscape victims.

    kamikaze808,

    How about getting rid of that hideously long URL () by doing this....

    ...use a blank index.html page that runs your BrowserHawk script, then quickly redirects the user to index1.html

    great thread...I'm in the process of creating a new site and i ran into this same issue, but you guys made my decision a lot easier. Do you think there's a middle ground? Like giving yourself a company-like image, while still being honest about being a one man band? My site was originally going to say 'welcome to the portfolio of...', now i think that sounds too much like i'm trying to get into school......

    Nah..don't worry..

    Put your name at the top and make the whole site all about your work.

    Simple is better.

    After listening to everyone, I think that it's ok to display the image of a company, while at the same time listing yourself as a freelancer. I can't seem any harm in saying your a freelancer, and then showing a portfolio to use to obtain future employment. As long as there is a decent portfolio and image to back yourself, you can't be denied. But thats just my thought.

    My husband and I have a web design "company". It's just the two of us, and a third person we call on every now and then for scripting help. Our image is that of a very professional company and we do well with it. However we let our clients know up front who's involved - we have a "Design Team" page on our site and it shows our pictures. So there's no question of trying to appear "bigger" than we are.

    I agree, great thread. By the way, I'm also 21.

    I've been doing some causal Flash for a bit now and have been asked by my girlfriend co-worker to work with him doing Flash. I'm interested in doing it as a second job but never done any flash work for money. Anyone give me some insight on what to expect in this type of work "relationship". From what I understand he's got a bit more work then he can handle himself.
