What is the best format to use for pictures so that they will maintain a low file size, but still have a sharp look. Right now I have tiny thumbnails that are 97k and that's just too big.

Thumbnails at 97K...God Man what one earth thumbnails are that. Try and Use Vector Tools. It keeps your filesize very small. Flash 5 Tools are great.

If u have a photo the best is the jpg. If u have a graphic picture the gif is your format. That's if u'r not using Flash.

You can also change quality of the graphic inside the flash program itself. Open the library dialog and then right click on the image and then go to properties and you can change the settings from there to what makes you happy.

    Good luck.
