Thread: Whats the best 3d software?

    Hey everyone.
    Im interested in using 3d with Flash. Is Swift3D the best software out there for this? Is it easy to use, and is it expensive? Anyone with experience with swift or any other 3D applications please let me know.

    Depends on how much you want to do...Swift is good for basic 3D, and it's only about $100. If you want to get more in-depth, then 3DS MAX, or Bryce if you're doing landscpes...I use Animation:Master for my in depth stuff, but I have to take single screen shots and pull them into Photoshop, crop, etc...than into flash...it's a mess, but I'm used to it.

    I reccomend Amorphium Pro. Awesome piece of software with direct swf export.

    also check out http://www.popedeflash.com - an awesome site dedicated to 3d, especially within flash

    So UpNorth, do you think Amorphium is better than Swift3D? What are the differences?

    I checked out amorphiums website. It sounds awesome. But its a little pricey. $250. Is it worth it? Anyone know what amorphium has that swift doesnt?

    I'm buying it!! Im going to get one of those graphire tablets so I can draw too.
