I made a character in flash and I am unable to create any movement besides dragging the whole thing across. How do I make a character walk, run, etc?

    hi hoodie666,
make a clip for each leg a clip for each arm a clip for the head, torso, etc, or animate it frame by frame.
    hope this helps

well here is a little advice... that gparis didn't cover...it all depends on what you wanna do with the animation...do you want it to loop or do you want it to just run once??? if you want to run it once just frame by frame it otherwise it would be easier to create a sparate movie clip for each part and tween it...which is alot less work than doing both...hope this helps

I tried doing the stuff (was I supposed to make each body part a separate layer??) and I am unable to modify the body parts... only thing I can do is drag them around.... makes the final version look like it's sliding rather than doing anything.
I don't want it to loop... just run once across the screen.

hi again. yes, each part of the body is a movieclip, and each clip is on a different layer. Now for the animations, you can use rotations with motion tweens.
    good luck
