OK...what you want to do first is create a movie clip...dont create a symbol then make it a movie clip...just a blank movie clip...then you have to import the animated gif...you will see more than one keyframe on your time line...when you are editing that movie clip...and you must do this because you want it to loop...otherwise it will only run once in your movie...then take then click back to the current scene...and pull the MC from the library into your movie...and voila...there you have it...mission accomplished...hope this helps.
