Pope de Flash suggested I dropped my problem in this area, especially to Aquaman...

    here it comes:

I use Flash 4.0a (Mac version) and I frequently get a bug (?) in the line space.
In the paragraph properties, margins, indentations and line space were set to 0.
After saving and opening the file, I can see the line space has changed. I have to open the paragraph properties and press the OK button again for the right setting.
Turning snapping on and off doesn't help.
I'm getting tired of doing this again and again!
    What am I doing wrong?

This may not help much but I have noticed that Flash seems to have alot of bugs when it comes to Macs, I have had alot of problems getting action script to work but at work I use a PC with no problems. I would suggest reinstalling Flash and see if that helps, you may have gotten a bad copy. Sorry I cant be of more assistance I have days when I'm ready to throw out my Big Expensive G-3
