    is there a way to create an outline around text in Flash? for instance, white text with a black outline...i know photoshop can do this, but cannot find the option in flash...thanks

    Learn about the ink and paint tools!!!

    Create the text you want, then break it apart.
    select you ink tool, set it to black, and click on the edge of the text.
    select the paint tool, set it to white, click inside of edge.

    In flash 8+, you can use a filter to not have to break apart your text (for future editing).

    I've had the best luck using glow with a strength of 5000% and a blur of 1.5

    it is ridiculous to have to break the text apart and click every goddamn shape just to outline text, when every vector program in the world allows for outlined text in one click, wtf?
