    aligned columns in flash

I've created a computer screen for an animation that should display 3 columns of text, I created it in Illustrator and then cut and pasted the columned and properly aligned text into my flash animation. 1st column should conatin names aligned to the left, 2nd column should contain dates centered and aligned all the way doen with straight sides on both, and the thrid column should be aligned and straight as well with a status description of the named patient.
The issue I have is that when the text is imported, Flash CS3 pro, squeezes it all together and all formatting is lost....How can I created evenly aligned columns of text in Flash CS3 pro form imported AI cs3 text to make it look like a proper scrolling selection box?

Cheers-bit of a time constraint as well-thanx guys

Can you post screen shots of the text in AI and another of the Flash stuff? I'm not really sure I know what you're going for... but you may just have to have each column in its own text box. Don't think you can do tabs in Flash.
