Cookies In Flash

I need some help setting some cookies in a flash movie within that movie there are several .swf movies and i need to add something so when a change is made eg. the sound level or internal window status that it stores the info and when the user visits the site again from the same machine it will automatically show the movie as it was the time before cool so all i need is a movie that remembers the last visit
super well i have tried everywhere else and a few different techniques haven't yet worked and i need your help
